I enjoy a warm feeling as much as the next guy, but I also beilive that emblems (particularly for reporting post and graphics) should be tightened up a little bit). It seems like in the past week or two there has been an outbreak up new people getting emblems, some of which (who I won't name) I don't think deserved it.
It's kind of like how when all of us were 10 and we got a trophy at the end of every sports season, but you didn't really have to do anything. Hell, even if you picthed a no-hitter in a game, you'd still reap the same award as the fat guy who warmed the seat.
As for myself, I am quite content with my little image.
Also, I have to best emblems.

Like Tural has been saying, Emblems are not democratically awarded. If they were, people would start making polls about, do i deserve [insert emblem name here]? Cause usually they would be popularity contests and that would be undeserving.

See thing is its kind of weird to get rid of people's emblems once already received. I'm pretty sure it would be better to just tighten up the way to get it.
Other than downgrade everyone, which makes them feel bad.
Maybe the other czars will agree(other than the one that removed half of em).

Explain how complaining affects one's ability to make graphics. Emblems should never be taken away. If they were given at one point, later developments should not change that. If the emblem person felt that the member should not have gotten it, then they should not have given it at all. I was about to say that, I don't see why they're taking them away now, emblems shouldn't ever just be 'taken back'. They earned the fairly, I don't see how anyone can just 'take them back'. I like posting my graphical work here for 2 of the most reasonable facts:
One being that the criticism that is given to each person who posts something is completely honest, and isn't just "Oh my god that sucks!!"
They actually give tips and information that is vital in how they can improve on their own style.
the second reason being that this forum has some really great people, and is very active.
that's about it.

I wasn't saying they don't serve a purpose. I know they are nice because they show certain qualities of a member, however, people get too sensitive about them. And yes, this site has a graphics section, and I enjoy posting some of my works in there. It's just, this is really not a big deal. I think the members who have the graphics emblems deserve them, and the ones who deserve them but don't have one will eventually get one.
