I don't understand why people will do stupid shit on an internet site, try to rebel out at the moderators and then when they get punished they bitch about it. It's an internet forum. It doesn't affect your daily life in anyway unless you are dependant on it. Don't do stupid shit, don't try to be a badass; just post your mods, ask for help, whatever. That's how you avoid getting banned.

Then theres the random ban. You can just say that. Mistakes happen, people get angry and lash out. Happens everywhere. You look on Bungie Forums and tell me how many people are calm there.

I'll miss you Doorm4n.
How is the account iBotPeaches doing. Please I'm asking you to unban it.

We take that into account. A lot of times, if I RC someone and they PM me apologizing, or saying they understand why the punishment was issued, I reduce their time. The people who get kept in there are typically the people who either A) Break rules a lot, showing they have no regard for them, or B) Flame via PMs when put in the RC (The majority of people).

LOL

People turn molehills into mountains around her alot. Seriously staff is doing a fine job, Instead of getting on the Staffs bad sides, understand that this is not your only option, This Is A Halo Modding Site. Nothing more, its not life threating, your not going to lose something of importance in your life. If a mod deletes your post so what, they are doing there job.

You complain about how bad HM has gotten or is coming to when you do not realize that you are the ones making it this way. With all your narrow minded opinions and Ideals about how evil and unworthy the staff are.

GTFO HATERZ!

Well first I guess I should say thanks for being un-RC'ed as I did think it was a little harsh since I did not do anything else bad to my knowledge. And yes I was angry at the time of the incident so the lock may have just put more fuel on the fire. I don't really like the idea of personal messages able to be screened but I guess I know that they are now.

We have no access to them between anyone other than ourselves. If a participant in them chooses to release the content of that message, we can't prevent them from doing so. It's serves as a reminder that just because it's a PM, doesn't make it exempt from the rules of the entire board.

The staff cannot read anybodys private messages unless the person in question gives them to the staff. I'm just clarifying this.

What if your not a phony?
Then I wasn't talking to you.

Ok, 2 day RC for, umm, saying ***? Understandable; somewhat. Then, in a private message I stated who it was toward. How did a private message get public? Oh, that's right...a disrespectful Staff member. That Staff member only got support after "universally" knowing that it is morally wrong to post private information; even if it is intended toward somebody. What ever I had said is not important atm, the fact is that I got a permanent "Reader's Club"-ed for a Staff member getting upset that I did not "decide" to stop replying offensive opinions toward him. I apparently stopped...somehow I am still RC'd for replying to him? If I were to have said this exact statement toward zzJo3zz, I would have not had the same punishment. It is like walking up to a police officer and saying, "Man you cops suck ***!" He can't put me in a prison! He can press charges as "Verbal Assault" but that is it. Unless you are going to press charges against me, I think stating an offensive opinion about somebody is permissible; as long as it is not posted in a public situation. Therefore, posting information in a private message is fine. This is an opinion. Take it easy pigs.
This is not the real world. The staff make the rules and you are required to follow them. Your analogy is therefore nullified. The staff don't have the ability to view other member's messages. If the message actually contained personal information, like a phone number or address, it would not be shown. That being said, the PM system is still part of the forums so the rules still apply to them. If you want to call people names do it on AIM or some other online messenger.
