Just been thinking, I tend to give Marines/Elites different weapons just for fun and sometimes help, so just give a few comments on what you give them for fun or serious help

Personaly I like to give plasma rifles/pistols for levels with skulls on, then headshot everything with the battle rifle :D

Or play easy, give them shotguns and pistols and watch them defend themselfs for some high impact viewing, fun.

easy/normal

heroic/legendary

Extra Hp/resistance skulls turned on

On The Covenant, I keep my spartan laser until the hornet area and give it to one of the pilots. He takes down everything I miss.
Here, I made a mini gallery...I'm not bored I swear. I play this on legendary or heroic if you needed to know this.

If it's a close quarters area, I'll give them Assault Rifles and SMGs, and Battle Rifles for everything else, excepting when I have a power weapon. Then I'll give that to a computer-controlled character when it has one firing left.

On legendary, I give them snipers, as they never miss, and are great from the back of a mongoose or side seat hog.

I gave CE Mike a chicken nugget to deadlift before his heart shattered into a million little pieces.

Other than that, nothing.

I try to give them Rockets/SL as they have infinite ammo and hardly ever miss. I also like giving that one civilian on The Storm the Gravity Hammer. He can't use it, but its funny watching him run around with it and run up to an enemy and do nothing.

give the marine a Rocket launcher when you are dealing with Brute armor and vehicles, they are very acurate and for some reason they don't need to reload ;D

If only he was Human.
I'd give them ranged weapons, Snipers/Beam Rifle and BRs/Covenant Carbine.

I give them my good weapons when they are nearly out of ammo. Other than that, I don't care.

I only give them weapons if they are boarding vehicles as pasengers, like give the ODST a laser on the coveant and he will shoot down both banshees.

Also on crows nest I give the goose passenger rockets

hmm, reminds me, anyone ever tried on a believe it is The storm that at the first lake bed there is a carrier hog, bringing that through the level to where the marines are on the mongooses with rockets and loading up the hog with 4 rocket wielding marines? It's quite a power trip.

Also i've tried having the 4 marines on the scorpion on The Ark wielding fuel rod guns, rather hectic.

and for the few that don't know try on The Covenant getting on the hornet with 2 marines both wielding spartan lasers, all great fun

At the start, about dead right to the rocky platform the wraith, fuel rod gunning brute and friends are on there is a crashed pelican, to the tail of that on the right side is a box like bit of debris, the 2nd spartan laser should be between that and the pelican.

Easy and Normal difficulty only though, other than that, when the spartan laser charge is 20, give it to a marine, aim at there head, close your eyes and pull the trigger, it should have randomly 21 charge to 81 :D

EDIT: make sure the Famine skull isn't on if plan to practice the 2nd option

I give the marines everything I can't use for shit.

Which means anything with a 1 hit kill.

I do the aforementioned on the Covenant.

Other than that, I give marines SMG's on Floodgate.

I wish they could hold hammers. Imagine the chaos.

I believe that I've seen a glitch that allows the civilian NPC's to hold the hammer. They don't actually do anything. The sort of just run around, acting as if they were firing a gun.

Same thing with elites. They can hold a lot of your weapons, but they don't do anything.

I traded my hammer for an elite's sword; he charged at hunters and didn't do anything. Pretty damn funny from my perspective.
