Lawl I was just wondering, When do you think the Legendary pack is going free? Its probably going to be in like 3 months, but thats my guess, whats urs???

Probably when Bungie gets close to releasing the next mappack.

I remember reading in the most recent update that they have no plans to make this pack free.

If I recall, Bungie doesn't decide when the pack becomes free, or even the starting price. It's up to the kind folks running the Live service if memory serves me right.

They'll become free about a week before the next map pack comes out.

if they made plans to release it free in a few months now, then they could hardly sell it, but their plans can always change. The fact that they are giving out free bungie pro seems to me like a sign that they expect people not to buy it based on how soon the heroic pack became free, which is probably a good indication of when this one may become free.

Now that they actually have a real threat like Call of Duty 4, they have to try and beat them in DLC sales. We all saw how many people downloaded the new CoD 4 maps, which resulted in a crash. Adding file share pro might push some people over the edge into buying the new maps.

true, true. Halo didn't make a Awesome release, still a walk around shoot stuff game, no nade cook, no tacticalness like COD4 in slayer...
Still hope that pack becomes free tho...

Maybe that's because Halo isn't Call of Duty 4, and the gameplay is entirely different.

true, but it would bring heavy gameplay changes... problem is, wouldn't a Plasma Nade stick to your hand if you cook it???

Your posts have no importance or relevance to the topic.
A ball of plasma would fuse to your hand as it activated, regardless of length of time held.

Yeah.. except they're going to be free eventually, like every other map pack they've ever released. If they want to include it in matchmaking, like I'm pretty sure they do, they'll make them free for download.

Actually, I think I remember them saying that the Heroic Map Pack would be eventually free before they released it.

There was a slight rumor I heard that the L. Maps were gonna be free May 25... But bungie didn't say anything bout that on weekly update tho... so probably false...
