No. It is impossible to record video without a capture card. Just because you aren't the one with the card, doesn't mean there isn't one in use. The films are data. To do it without a recording device would require you to have the entire game engine, models, sounds, everything running on your computer. So no, nobody was proven wrong, except you. :3
I can record my Halo 3 gameplay on my computer without a CC.

Other than that, no.

What I mean't was for people out there that thought the only way you could get vids is if you had a cc and all. But I know "they" the people at geeves still need to use a cc to get the videos,But Hey atleast we don't have to pay to do it. Wait Tural, You said it was impossible without a cc but then you just said another way to do it, and nothing is impossible never know if a entire game engine that runs vids and runs on your computer might end up on your door step. Little chance you will ever get it but not impossible. So overall let just say we where all right.

XxPTLegitxX, no.
It's not possible, and it won't ever be possible.
You're playing worthless technicalities.

It's not impossible to travel 40 billion light years in a fraction of a second, it just can't be done now, or any time in the foreseeable future, but you can't prove it will never happen.

It's just pointless.

It is impossible to get the film files to a video without a capturing device. End of story.

Pretty neat idea for people that don't have capture cards of their own.

I missed this post. I'll address it now.

Sorry for not being general enough. It is impossible without some video capture device, connection, or other means involving extra hardware. You can not take a film file, put it on your computer, and get a video. The only way to record the film is by playing it in the game on your 360 and capturing that video being produced.

I'll try to be more vague next time so as not to leave little exploitable loopholes in my comments where it should be clear as to what I'm talking about based on prior discussions and claims...

I have ~14 hours until my 1:45 (1 Minute, 45 Second) video is done uploading, etc.

Turk, look at the marketing oppurtunities. You could start recording clips for people exclusively on Halomods.. As long as you were quick you could charge them an arm and a leg.

;) just refrain from what dark did. He sent me 38 film clips that averadged 5-8 seconds long for his jump montage.

Well, yeah. Everybody knows that.

Game files don't equal video.

That was my point. I didn't expect people to go through and exploit loopholes in my statement where I assumed they would know what I was talking about, as you do.

According to Geevee.com, GeeVeeGrab is "overloaded" right now.
"Due to your tremendous response to GeeVeeGrab we are upgrading our system. This means GeeVeeGrab will be down for a few days while we make the system faster (don't worry, this is just part of the Beta process). When GeeVeeGrab is back online you will see much faster posting times. In the meantime, the videos that are in the queue will continue to be posted at their usual rate. Thanks for your patience and loyalty!

- GeeVee Team"
That's probably why it's stuck.

Because they don't have the manpower to do it, as has been stated dozens of times.

The site isn't going to last long like this. There isn't a way to automate the console starting the theater, finding the correct film, starting the film, recording the film with a capture device, and repeating several thousand times. On top of that, you have to factor in that they can only queue 6 downloads at a time, and only store 100 on the console. They can't mass-download the films, so it has to be quite a slow process just getting the films to the console.

Really, I can't even see how this is practical to be doing this, on their end.

How many Xbox 360's, Computers, and Capture Cards do you think they have going Tural?

EDIT : Wow, this is what they are using - [Click] - to capture the video with.

And this is what they use to split with - [Click]

Which happens to be the same thing I use to split with.

I imagine they have quite a few consoles, probably recording almost round-the-clock, but the manpower of it would be so tedious.
