This was first discovered by turk a few minutes ago. He was messing around with the controls trying to do the machinima "put away weapon" command when he stumbled apon the debug cam option.
He first thought it to be LB+RB+A+Lstick+Dpadup
This displays coordinators and cam mode

It does work but only in local games and films. Heres what interested me. After messing with it for a while I found all the features. Here they are.

Press
Lstick+Rstick+Dpad down/right
This = ON
Again = OFF

Press
Lstick+Rstick+Dpad up/left
This toggles cam modes
Normal
Pan-Cam

up Dpad = faster cam
down Dpad = slower cam

As far as I can tell the modes really do not do much for you but let me know what you guys think.

Interesting. Wonder if there's anything that's actually useful.

How exactly are you supposed to hold down all those at once?

I thought my code was much easier to reach then turks, even if it is just one button over. :-/

Oh well

right thumb to right thumb
right index to right bumper
left index to dpad
left middle finger to left thumb
left ring finger to left bumper

Now that you got a Spok mind hold on your 360 controller hold it down for 3 seconds.

Turk is the one to do something out of the ordinary. Most amazing.

it will be more usefull once halo 3 modding kicks off. No need for a bsp viewer to get cords for stuff, we have forge and ingame cords.

i found out the difference between the pan cam and normal. It effect freecam in theater. If you go to pan cam mode it changes the controls of the camera.

the triggers will now control you hight, bumbers dont do anything that im aware of.

up/down on the dpad will change your camera speed.

You wont fly where you look, you will stay on the same plane so even if you look striaght down you will move forward as if in player mode.

Awesome discovery... It looks like Bungie likes to take notes from what us modders did with H2 *cough*yelo*cough* :P

If you think about it, some of the best ideas modders came up with were used by even Microsoft. Hell the xbox360 is pretty much based of XBMC.

To say it is "based off of" something is absurd. Sharing common themes (It's a media center, XBMC clearly was the first to feature a media center) does not make them "based off of" anything.

You'd be hard pressed to find more similarities than differences.

Furthermore, Bungie has likely always had dev cameras, as it only makes sense. So it would seem that we copied everything to ever have a dev camera.

wow...i can't believe that you think that the modding community thought of the dev cam... they were used by bungie and other game companies to place items on map and fix things long before modding started using dev cam

WTF are you guys talking about? I was replying to shades post about bungie borrowing Ideas from moders. I never mentioned anything about the dev cam. And Bungie made most of their stuff such as running speed and jump height and forge to avoid moding so yes they did brainstorm up things based off of moding. And the xbox 360 analogy was an example. You guys don't have to be so damn offensive about it Jesus Christ. Try reading the whole post next time.
