no if you look at halo3.com its still the same cover for the plain halo 3. buuut. wow this is a lot to digest, so much information. just stating the obvious for my own sanity: Forruners come to earth, man is on earth, forruners dig hole, man watches and waits for them to return. did i get that right or was the comic a load of bull? Also the tech that the comic shows dosent even resemble anything close to being covie, if anything it looks like its from war of the world the tripod thingy that walks around. And also the supposed "AI" on the websites is obviously for information, what or who it is is trying to gather information for something, getting it, and leaving. Also i read in this topic "what if it came here!?!?" it wont because HBO, and Bungie are obviously run by bungie; where as if it was started here people would investigate the crap out of it and end up ruining the ending to something.

In my opinion, the "technology" just looks like Sentinels which have been specially created/designed for the purpose of building...which is most likely what they are.

true, also in halo 2 doesnt it say something like "sentinels, the forruners holy protectors" or something like that? when you play as the elite dude.

Yes, the Sentinels were created by the Forerunner.

what if forruners arent even things they are just a super advanced "AI". Oh i have an idea remember in halo 2 special edition disk they show the "stones" that the forrunners left behind, that might help us. BTW i dont know why but i love discussing stuff like this because its like a mystery in a book or something. very exciting.

Also, Bungie does not run HBO. Also, again, to clarify: If there's an AR anywhere except Bungie.net, it's fake. (Excluding the two early posts on HBO)

what is ARG again, i think i missed that part, and you telling me that HBO, a website that has "bungie" in the name is not in any way shape or form run by bungie

There's no proof they're building anything. There's no reason to go super-in depth about that artwork. The intention was to show them there, not to instigate a discussion about what they're doing.

The very first result in Google (other than a company's stock or some thing) for "arg" is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternate_reality_game .

There's math involved to make it interesting and it makes the "puzzle" harder to solve.

Ah, so its like a game based around the Halo universe, but set in real time to find out the all the "extra" story to halo.

so what would be the whole point of solving the mystery of this ARG? what sorts of benefits do we as a community receive out of solving the "puzzle?"

Well, it lets us figure out the story of Halo ourselves, like you said. I think when they did I Love Bees, people were allowed to play Halo 2 early (although the whole...beta kinda defeated the purpose of that).
