Halo 3 with no Iron skull activated: if you die you go back to the most recent checkpoint correct?

Halo 3 with Iron Skull activated and More than 1 player: if everyone dies you go back to most recent checkpoint

Actually, no, you have it backwards.

4 People, Iron ON - If 1 (one, uno) person dies, then EVERYONE resets back to the last checkpoint.

4 People, Iron OFF - If ALL 4 (Four, Cuatro) people die, then everyone resets back to the last checkpoint.

Did anyone say it didn't?
Well, the real question is, in what scenario would every person die at the same time, therefore bypassing the reset-to-checkpoint?
