Well i dont think we can expect any Spartan IIs in Halo 3 other than Masterchief. Blue Team and some spartans from Gamma Company are now trapped on Onyx. I think we might see Spartan IIIs since the rest of Gamma Company's status has not been confirmed yet.

I find it interesting that the info that gives character bios for the Grunts and Hunters still explains them as an enemy creature, even though they were allied with Elites and the Elites allied with humans. Also in some official footage, it showed a Grunt working side-by-side with a Brute, which, if it thought it was enemy, would have ripped the the limbs off of the poor Grunt. And oh no, the Sarge lost his cap! He's going to kill everyone! Gaah! I don't really think he's wearing MJOLNIR armor. Compare it to the Chief's.

BTW, I noticed the Beam Rifle says it 'charges' fast. Does that mean energy weapons will have chargers? Funny...Imagine the Chief pluging in a 12 volt DC adapter into a conviniently located power outlet.

Bungie said how the grunts and hunters conflict with the brutes and prophets were not as important as their religious beliefs so they stayed in the covenant, unlike the elites...
But that probably means that if you leave a grunt and a brute in the same room they will fight eachother

I don't think we'll see any of the above. The books have always maintained that there are other Spartans, but the games have always gone against that. Besides, featuring other Spartans would not only be difficult to do (AI), it would alter the pace of game play.
