lol apparently the UNSC weapons are to real looking for them to be release with the other. i also have no idea how the e-sword will work in 2k8.

give me your opinion of this.

This was announced like 3 months ago.

I couldn't care less about it. No way I would ever begin to consider paying upwards of $150 for these.

Um... Last I checked, energy swords don't fire projectiles.

Anyways, the guns look really cool; not something I'd pay for, though.

If they made it function like an actual Energy Sword fight, that would be pretty cool. But if it has like a trigger and you fire from a distance, that would be really lame.

I don't know... I think it's horrible how Bungie is marketing all this crap for Halo 3. I buy the game because I enjoy the gameplay and the story. I don't need all these little toys on my shelves because I enjoy the game.
I'm not going to drink a different flavored soda with a Halo 3 logo on it because I like the Halo series, I'm not going to buy toy models of the guns, action figures, or go out and play Halo 3 laser tag because I enjoy the game. They're milking out the greatness of Halo.

You won't, but somebody will. They're going to be making money off of it, and their real fans aren't going to leave just because they flood the market with products. In addition, you can rest assured knowing it isn't Bungie directly doing it, Microsoft is behind these marketing schemes.

This is kinda pitiful, its really going to give fanboys of other games something to laugh at. If it was like the lasertag with those arenas like the "Laser Quest" places that would have been cool.

But they are making freaking Laser Tag toys. Those replica covenant weapons alone would have been better, given it didn't have any "pew pew" or simulated sounds, just have it be like a collector's item or something.

A: The Covenant Plasma Rifle and Pistol will be available at your local Hot Topics and other fine retailers starting October 2007. The Covenant Energy Sword will be available sometime in 2008.
