This is a proof of concept, exploring how to make your new weapons apear ingame. H2V loads it's weapon tags out of shared.map, to make new map files small. The "cattle rifle" is a BR with the FP of the sniper and fires rockets. While this is a "noob" mod, remember that h2ek does not allow editing of the weapon nor item collection tags. Simply drag and drop the contents of the rar into your tags folder. Referance the new item colection in your scenarios, and um, have fun?

Nice! This being a new thing for us, we can't really call it a "noob" mod.

And why would you post that?

You can just use guerilla to make new weapons :?

cool but I don't really think its a big deal nothing that a few simple dependency swaps can't do.

The tools that come with H2V don't allow for weapon editing...

It isn't incredibly easy to swap dependencies without any tools, as far as I know.

na its pretty easy, all you have to do is find the tag index that you want you want to swap grab that meta ident from the index, then go to the meta where you want it to be swaped and put that new tag class and meta ident in place of the current one. that is pretty simple should be like a 5 min job

also someone said dothalo opens these maps? im not sure about that but anyways mabey I can make entity open up the maps or something so we can get some basic tag editing working

hmm I guess I miss understood it I thought he had edited the actual map but when I just read it again its just a tag which is rather simple, when you build the maps it builds all its references into the map and he swapped the path of the weapon for the itmc in hex which is a simple windows path "objects\weapons\rifle\battle_rifle\cattle_rifle" and in the actual weapon tag he had swapped the path for the rockets for the projectile and the sniper rifle model. so when the map was built thoes tags where built into it, it works kinda like H2Core and H2G work because we tried to mimic how tool and the real h2guerrilla would work.
