I'm not sure if this is anything usefull or not but I was able to load up the vista maps on HELplus by steelix. basic info is readable but because there are no plugins for it, (at least not that I know how to make them or anything or if you can make them) you cant get them to extract. Maybe you could make one based off the code used in the bsp scanner Shade?

so this is making our halo 2 vista maps cverted to the xbox version if so then i must say this.

get stufffed xbox users your got too many great maps and ai maps cant u see were trying to make our own SP maps and get started here unless u xbox guys can make a H2X-H2V map converter then our maps r yours but for now go just leave us in modding peace

WTF dude LEARN TO TYPE. I'm not flaming you but alot of people are tired of you not being able to type. If you cant speak proper english im sorry go use google translate and itll make it correct sentence. I just cant stand seeing writing that is so unreadable.

edit : On-Topic: I think this is only worked on behin the scenes if that. everyone seems to be busy!

Seriously. Leave them alone, they want custom bsps in their maps. If you actually played and modded h2x, you would of known that the game cannot have custom bsps. They are trying to figure it out, to make the game better.

What modding peace? There never WAS a peace, there was NO modding! All that was complete bullcrap.

Soon enough, H2V will have modding tools. However, let the "xboxers" have their fun. They tried everything we wanted to do BEFORE US, since the game was for the xbox originally. Of course, they switched bipeds, made phantom guns, making a pelican drivable, ALL. BEFORE. US.

If you cannot face the facts, then leave. We do not take ignorance here.

Also, like everyone has said before, LEARN to TYPE better, just because its the internet, does not mean you can talk like this:

Please...Please...consider learning how to type and spell correctly, these forums are not meant for that kind of language. We want them clean, not with ******* spelling errors and poor grammar.

But, I will help. If you have Mozilla Firefox, go to their addon website, and download the spell checker, it helps a lot.

so i have a question why do the xbox modders need a bit of our halo 2 vista code.??

and will they do a H2X-H2V conversion

Well some parts of Halo 2 vista is diffrent then the xbox, in tehis case teh BSP. They need to figure out the BSP's meta so thet can convert it into xbox proper meta. I dont know if they will do X-V but H2V has all the xbox maps if im not mistaken.

Xbox modders would need h2vista code to extract the sbsp and port it to xbox. If we can find the differences between sbsp's in h2v and h2x, then we can make custom maps for h2v and port them to h2x.

From what I can tell the only differences are in the raw data so if someone who knows alot about model data and such can point out what exactly those differences are both h2x-h2v and h2v-h2x would be possible.

AI is in the scenario not the BSP. Im almost done with some updates on Gavemind, and shortly after I release teh beta I will update with chunk clonning wich will allow research on AI, plus the research I have all ready gotten :wink:

AI maps =MPCmb? i imagine the same principle would apply...

but 1st you need to enable ai in mp somehow :?

If it is blocked, but even then AI is all in the scenario except for zoning.

no i think he means it might be blocked in the .exe (AFAIK it was disabled in the .xbe of the xbox version) so it very well could be blocked in the .exe as well.
