[map] my first attempt at a mod for infinity

Hi

this is my first attempt for a mod to allow a different (i hope) style of play for the infinity map

It includes

1. A bridge of light that runs all the way round the map.
2. A huge central chamber that has loads of snipers platforms
3. Faster shees... I hate those old death traps, oh yeah, they shoot enemy homing missiles too
4. A different layout for the portals and they are marked by batons or smoke. Be wary of ones marked with the old landing lights, they are a one way trip to the oven of doom, lol
5. Active camo
6. slightly different weapons (I know they need some work but I am getting better)

This map is currently running on a server

I went a bit crazy and PMI'ed in loads of things, some of them I didn't even use. Check them out in Sparkedit, lol

Can anyone think of a place to put a crashed pelican ???? lol

I tried to make the map so that its still playable to people who don't have the mod, thats why most of the scenery is above the normal play area.

Haha that central chamber looks cool, reminds me a bit of the deathstar.

For a first, very impressive. Esp the light bridges. Haven't seen those used before. Original + creative.
Know what you should try? PMI the beam emitter, and replace it with active scenery into another map.

if it shot a giant green laser from a sphincter like indentation then you'd have my vote!! =D

I just don't know how you'd make it do that......

Animation and timing? I think that would do it, or make a custom beam
and not use a color changed a30.

I just told you guys how to shoot a big laser beam.
Know what you should try? PMI the beam emitter, and replace it with active scenery into another map.
Meaning, PMI the beam emitter into Infinity (does it already have it? I haven't played this map in months now...), replace the proj with an equipment, and point it in the right direction. Use an active scenery tutorial if you don't understand.

Btw, what map bsp is the floating room structure in the second pic from?

Wow you inpress me and i dont get inpressed easy Good job btw did you have to hex the bridges to get them to work or did they just work on inport becuase for some reason i have to hex a few things to get them to work

Rose, i am impressed good job with the mod maybe try some ai or ai on teams.
i can see this mod would be very interesting fighting ai on those light bridges.

don't people automatically lose connection if they join a game with pmi'd stuff, like a death star or light bridge? Not 100% sure, but it happens to me.
Anyway, this map looks amazing. This'll be the first thing I've downloaded in a long time.
