you talk too much. also, I need a plugin for my paintshop pro X8, u got 1? I might be able to make bettr skins with paintshop.pepsi711 wrote:im calling you dense on the fact of you creating all these skins that are not even par. there not even sub-par.
people have gave your alot of info and tips on making them better but all your doing is that same thing over and over.
seriously..
go make a skin. look at it. then when your happy with it make it even more better. the people here have very high standards on skins and such. when you post a new skin and its your first one then sure, people will go light on you in comments...
...but when you drop 7 skins in a row and everyone is telling you they are not good, dont you think you need to take a little bite of the clue cookie and rework some of these.
you said your gfx suck. ok. then what does that tell you? you need to get a better card or have a friend with a higher card preview them before you post them.
as far as me being nice well i have been. if you think thats being mean then i hate to see what happens when someone finally rips some brute honesty on your mods.
ill give you some right now.. and this goes for all the skins youve posted.
they all look like they have been done in paint. they do not look thought out or designed but mearly made for the sake of making one. basically they look half-arsed. i really dont see the effort into them. while they may be your first attempts into skinning i would suggest using the feedback your getting and trying to create higher quality work.
no one is asking you to brak new ground, but a few brush strokes and a photofilter is nothing. im willing to bet it took more time for you to open hmt, find skin, save, open in ps, save in os, inject, run them in game then it did to actually make them.
and blaming your bad gfx for your skins coming out looking below par is a cop out. if you have bad gfx then maybe you shouldnt be skinning in the first place since you cant give people what they want quality wise.
if you want a lesson on skinning and what peoples expectations are then i can suggest we have a friendly skinning competition. someone can pick the theme. we will send our skins to that person who picks it and they can make the topic on whos skin is better. this isnt ment to be a bragging contest/pissing contest, but more of seeing what people would want vs. what your offering them. we can make the deadline this saturday morning.
im down to skin a hog for old times sake.
And you can't get it through your thick skull that you need to work on your skins, A LOT.Your_Worst_Nightmare wrote:you talk too muchpepsi711 wrote:im calling you dense on the fact of you creating all these skins that are not even par. there not even sub-par.

But seriously, even the best modders have to start somewhere, don't they?
Then again, posting multiple skins which have no theme within a few hours of each other (which I am guilty of) isn't the best way to start.
However, I can forgive your bad graphics, it's not your fault, and there's even a guy who's been posting "bad graphic skins" for years now, and they have turned out successfully, haven't they?
