But I heard the Elites have this red ring of death thing and Halo 3's don't , is that true ?

So , im buying a Xbox 360 , and theres so much variants of them sale that I cant decide which is the best. So can you people tell me whats best , the Elite , Halo 3 Special edition or some ' Pro ' which was told the newest but I dont know is it really that new or well can anyone give me some advice ...
