No, you can only change the ident for every item of the same type. So you could only change all the frags for example, not just 1.

As a side note, LIVE containers are signed at the time of deployment, not at the time of download, I believe. In the pit, since there is a troop hog, that means that there is indeed a warthog with the troop hog turret variant. Therefore it is possible to spawn a troop hog, however there's no exact way to tell what the identifier is.

Chances are they still have a hash of their own. A CRC at the least to make sure that the file copied correctly.

Care to explain exactly what it does then? No, not really :wink: Without going into detail, Halo 3 just validates portions (via hashing) of the cache files then compares the signature (via RSA) of those validation results against the expected hash data and it's signature stored in the cache header....
