HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I'm having the same problem with Blender. I've tried all sorts of setting combinations for the export and still havent made it work. Please let me know if you do.

I'm new to editing Halo PC models so help me out... Here's my problem: I export the model I want to edit from HMT -click Yes to promt Open model in 3DS Max (I go to File>Import>Wavefront .obj> browse to model..)
