Make sure your searching for a 32bit signed long. With the new 360 update you'll be able to insall games to the HDD of an xbox 360 as you all probly know. This might be a stupid question. But i wonder if it maybe changes things for halo 3 modding in any way? I thought I'd post this here as Tural loc...

At the north pole, the universe is incredibly small, but expands rapidly (the Big Bang, except without a singularity). At time goes on, the universe exands more and more, then begins to shrink at the equator. As the south pole draws nearer, the universe again shrinks and time draws to a close. You ...

I thought that quaternions were easier to use than vectors only when dealing with a trailing float point behind a model. How/why are they being used here? Quaternions are regularly used for rotations in game development, it's just how it is. You would think that Vectors would be used (and more than...

But like I said, people who want to abuse it won't try through the HM tool, they will just get one of the others that doesn't make them go through a bunch of hoops. It would be stupid of them to try to use this site's anyways, it would be a colossal waste of time and effort. The point I am making i...

We could publish a tool that is restricted to Halo 3, but there's no point in tying it to a server, because people who want to work around the application restrictions will be able to anyways. It would be extra work, and no benefit would be gained. People would rather just use a different tool than...

Reminds me of the whole DLC Resigner fiasco.. For those who aren't reminded.. Halomods refused to host or link-to DLC resigners.. A minority complained, but the majority went along with it because of the simple work-around: 'add the maps to the mainmenu'.. Now we have all-purpose CON resigners being...

I believe Ghosts to be a placeholder just like Religion was (and still is somewhat ;_; ): Good enough until the actual truth is discovered and understood.. Other intelligent lifeforms on other planets has to be true!.. Just because it's cool.. Mythic creatures though.. not sure. Hopefully they're no...

Used for Java .NET switchover people :P I don't like Java, like -DeToX- said, that get and set crap annoys me as well. Especially if your IDE like the one we use in school doesn't have any IntelliSense... Anyway, I think I've only used J# once before for programming on a mobile.. It's been d...

If you need the maps of your 360, you'd need something to extract them off your disk like an XSATA (I believe..?). No, the XSATA device allows your PC and Xbox 360 to communicate.. then with an application that takes advantage of the connection, such as Xplorer360, you can access the HDD's file sys...

Re: VISUAL BASIC ERROR(s).
You don't fullstop methods. Methods must be contained within a class or struct. You're initialising your H2Tag array as H2Map's.. It's "indexOffset - primaryMagicConstantMagic".. not "indexOffsetprimaryMagicConstantMagic".. Comments are started with the apostrophe( ' ) character...

Re: An engineering idea / proposal for limitless forge possi
My thoughts:.. Firstly, your description of what meta is, is somewhat flawed.. which is not a particularly good start.. Secondly, you didn't even need to bring up "meta" in the first place - of course the forge maps save what objects you have placed, and where you have placed them.. where ...
