Re: [WIP] BiMyrrha

Alright, updated: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dv5BQJMnogg I know the video is close to nothing quality wise. I'm not going to lie; I don't know anything about video conversion, which program to use, what encoding. It didn't make much sense to give you a 4GB avi file, but I'm not sure how much mor...

We've gotten it in-game, so these pictures are proof that not much more. UVs, shaders, and more textures are being worked on. http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/4669/haloce2009032322481987.png http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/1328/haloce2009032322475823.png http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/4152/haloce...

Re: [WIP] H3MT Foundry

Are you guys planning to release the tagset for the scenery so people can populate the level in Sapien?

I'm just curious because would be incredibly easy to use Sapien as a pseudo-forge.

Re: [WIP] BiMyrrha

Yes, we will be using this as a generic (and by that I mean generously applied) metal texture in the map. I compared this metal texture to the tutorial metal halo texture after I created it. I didn't use the texture as reference (I was trying to force myself to think how I would go about making the ...

Yep, but being Bostonian drivers they then try to pass me. And that fails.

No, but it is still a Nissan. Nissan is not know for bad ass muscle cars... It's not a muscle car though. :? I don't think that they're pushing for raw power with it, but rather, using less to get more. And I don't care whether they're "known" for something or not. Considering it can prob...

I wish I could magically transport that engine into my car.

*** yeah, small diesel engines.
Friend of mine has a diesel Jetta and says the thing gets 40MPG.

My mom's Prius does (max) 45-50MPG.

My car does 25 MPG.

Big maps without vehicles are not the greatest thing. They are somewhat boring to walk across and Halo was not built for the "duck and cover and fire" kind of gameplay. I like the model, but as Crytic said, if you corrected those non-planars it'll make your map look much nicer and you'll g...

My dad recently installed a LinkSys router on the home network. Worked great as a router. Then I lost internet and my brother did, too. Problem was that the router was acting like a DHCP server. We already had one DHCP server. So, this thing was just talking all of the "refresh IP" request...

Using the tools found within editable poly that do not include tesselation.

Go to modacity (when it goes up) and search for the cliff tutorial. There are a couple good tutorials which will show you good organic model creation.

You're wasting a lot of potential if you're using that resolution ingame, too. Yes, that would be true if we weren't porting it to Unreal as well. We are saving that bag of sweets for later. @antszy101: Yeah, for the next texture that will be my focus to subtly tone down the browns and oranges. I s...

Even if that is true, Blam cannot handle that many polies in one scene without portaling; you'd be clipping things in your FOV.

It looks organic, I'll give you that, but you'd be better off using other methods for Halo and porting this to an engine that can handle it.
