because i have a crap video card (GeForce4 MX 
) i was trying to experiment with making normal non-pixel shaders. I havent got it to work yet please help

is there a way...
i own the cruddiest video card of them all (geforce 4 MX) and i cant get specular or shadows to work. I know these rely on pixel and vertex shaders. Both of these have to have a non fixed function card to work so how come when i run 3dmark does vertex work but not pixel? Halo looks crap without thes...
