Wow Xzodia, I never thought you'd actually finish it. It was cool to see this finally come to fruition. And it seems like you found out how to scale phmo's, too. Did you guys get Pelican attaching working? And did Snaku ever finish his lava map? Well, anyways, it's nice to see you guys are still wor...

spawning weapons through the weapons placement.

I'm having trouble getting a weapon to spawn through the weapons placement and palette by means of spawning its local object through scripting. I wrote a script to spawn it, and it doesn't. So I wrote a script to spawn it when a ctrl is pressed, and it freezes the game. I know it's not the fault of ...

scripting error

I have a relatively full map which I placed the scripts reflexive in last. I wrote out my script in the old script compiler, and it says "attempted to read or write protected memory. this is often an indication that other memory is corrupt." So I tried it with scripttools. It just freezes....

oy... Are you people sure you use the local objects reflexive? There's a tutorial in the tut section about scirpt objects, and I haven't found any maps with local objects in them yet. Does anyone know of any? I'll keep searching. EDIT: nm, it isn't defined in my scnr plugin, so it wasn't originally ...

adding pieces to scnr tag

I just want to make sure, I need to add device groups, ctrl palette, ctrl placement, weapon palette, local objects, and weapon placement to a map, as well as scripts. Can I just cut + paste + delete all I don't need? Or are there any preparations I must take for any of these? Thanks. Also, the ctrl ...

I don't mean to be rude, but I am in a tight situation and I need to get an answer or at least acknowledgement that someone read my previous post. I have a deadline for friday to meet, and I would really like to get any sort of answer to my questions which, in my opinion, do present some manner of p...

Is there any way to counteract this? are there any programs that bring the bones with them? Could I just replace parts of the model instead of all of it?

entity model injection problems

I'm trying to make a different mc. I'm using the first entity beta. I export the objects, change them, etc. When I import them, it says "input string was not in a correct format." So I try it with darkmatter. The only problem is, whenever I do it with darkmatter, it never changes. It adds ...

how would you use the same script? As far as I can tell (from various searches,) there is no mp script decompiler. I couldn't find any decompiler at all.

Luckily, SOL mentions the script in his tutorial. If you download that, you can see the script. Shoot, I have to look that up.

check the alpha channel of any bitmaps dealing with the front window. Find one that deals with the window, change the alpha channel to grey-ish, and you will have a semi-opaque window which should darken it. I know there is a damage bitm, if you can't find the original, you could darken the alpha of...

how about switching the hlmt? I know this works, but the model will be in the wrong place. I am not sure where you would change the place, but I believe it is in the marker tag of the character, like masterchief_mp.mode. don't use words like centerish, they don't translate well, and definitely won't...

I know, I've been gone for a while, but I'm back. summer's never been a good time for me because my family and I drive around 1,200 miles on various trips, which we do not bring any competent computers to. But I'm back and very interested in the power of scripting, and I'll find a way to work it bet...

I still don't understand the grammar of the scripting language. I wish someone would realease a tut on these things in the meantime, I'll just have to sit in front of my screen and play this mod :) . So far, it's the coolest script I've ever seen. Although being first of two isn't totally awesome......
