I learned to code outside of halo, but I learned a lot of what I know about halo from looking at code also.
I agree with Kornman on that and Entity is a great example, but even some of the less buggy programs have some goofy coding, or could have been written better.

Re: The Official Rant Thread
it's going to run on as an over-used joke like Chuck Norris. There is no overuse of Chuck Norris jokes! I find them funnier because my friend jokingly idolized him before those jokes started coming out mainstream. We also watched Walker Texas Ranger and some of his movies and they are so incredibly...

Re: Adding a bigger HDD to your Xbox?
Basically you need XboxHDM(xbox hard drive manager), which is the linux cd that he's talking about. You need to boot your computer to that with the drive for your xbox plugged into you computer as the primary master. Then you need to format the drive as FATX(the xbox file system, thats one of the th...

Re: Adding a bigger HDD to your Xbox?
If the only problem is the IDE cables are at home, you have an IDE cable in your xbox. You could use that one to plugin an IDE hard drive into your computer as long as it has that capability.

I like the new mountain dew commercials where they start making ridiculous claims like it allows you to power a light bulb or house, then say how they are really just making false claims as a ploy to get you to buy their stuff, then at the end they tell you it'll make you smarter and more attractive...

Re: Adding a bigger HDD to your Xbox?
The way I interpreted it was that his computer uses SATA and he has an IDE drive, he just needs an IDE cable to plugin the hard drive into his computer in order to format it to FATX and lock it to his eeprom. I suggested he use the cable from his xbox if that is the case, but I'm not really sure if ...

My futon is pretty thick, so it's comfortable enough to sleep on occasionally, but I wouldn't want to use it as my bed all the time.

If you're worried about not having an ide cable, just use the one from your xbox.

I don't think Notepad++ has a compiler. If not then you'll just have to use another compiler. Just google free C++ compiler.

You're never going to be banned because the Xbox is modded. You'll only be banned if you mod the DLC maps for Halo 2, then leave the modded maps in their corresponding folders when signing into Xbox Live. As long as you cold boot. I agree with Detox. I run unleashx, and when I load up my debug bios...
