Try doing fog OR editing the lightmaps....Lightmap editing is done with photoshop...

and fog is easily done infact i think theres like 3 tuts on it. on this site...

even then it would be almost impossible As the scarab is huge and its animations and collision is huge thus it would most likely collide with the inivislbe wall or DI itself.
