I noticed that but wheres the apply button to just apply the main menu area?

OK So i went to shared.map and took the meta data from it and went into my headlong.map and overwrite with it. Now in game it shows lots of colors on the warthog. I went to add the .dds file and wow! The map size jumped to just under 150MB and Halo 2 fails to load it. Can someone help me out and tel...

Says i have to use a hex editor or something.. can someone make this a bit clearer as i am new to skin modding.

I did and have that tutorial but it says:

Make sure that mainmenu.map, shared.map, and sp shaered.map are in the same directory as the map your editing because the weapon and vehicle skins are external.

Im unsure of what that means.

EDIT: I just tried and it says MAP: Shared External.
