also for water you need to add the fog under the water in sapien. otherwise it won't work properly.

ummm it doesn't matter what your dimensions in max are because the uvmapping and/or unwrap uvw modifiers do not distort the pictures if you use them right.

Also, (not sure if halo allows this, some engines I worked with don't) you might be able to "mix" numbers, IE. 512x256 64x256 ect... for the most pare, unless your map is not square, try to keep your textures square. yes you can mix the #'s for the textures as long as they are a power of ...

actually that samething happened to me today when i was building a beta level and all i did was close my cmd prompt and then opened it again and tried again and it worked fine. if that don't work then just keep trying it.

or instead of trying to fix the problem just try rebuilding your scenario and delete your existing lightmaps and stuff and try again. sometimes it saves time instead of trying to fix it over and over. or try running it in tool instead of sapien. sometimes that make a difference too.

theres a easier way than that. if you have gmax or 3ds max just goto the edge selection button and in the sub menus for edges there is a button that says select open edges. click that and then hit F3 to veiw in wireframe and you can see where the problem is.

the wrl file is just representing where your error is so that you can go and fix it in that spot. once you know where the error is you can delete the wrl lines and easily see where you need to fix.

it mean that you have faces/polys that are flipped the wrong way. so when the game tries to render them it can't see the faces therefore can't update the collision edges. all you have to do it import the .wrl with your map name infront of it into max and it will show you were the problem is and then...

they also need to have ammo in them cause if you don't then they will disappear quickly also and then without ammo they are completely useless too.
