There is no real techinque. Just the right usage of specular, detail, and bump.

you don't need to re-rig the model to make animations so they have more weapon choices. But you could just add in more 3p names so they can pick up those weapons.

The area where you can get on top by red base is built into gameplay. It's like that hidden route you might see in every other map. And i was testing with that water effect, but there's no real way you can get it to collide with bullets without it creating open edges and/or making it "jesus wat...

Ahh...cool. I once tried to give the AR a grenade for a secondary fire...It almost worked, but it was still pretty messed. If my judgements are correct, this will allow me to do it very easily.
