If you're having a problem with lag, turn up the fog real high and the solid distance to something under 20. That will make it less fun because you can't snipe for shit, but at least your fps will go up.

For animated scenery, how in depth can you get? Do you only have a few options like rotation?

yup seat mods will soon become log mods ;p but seat mods are beyond n00bs, so it should balance out pretty evenly. I endevour to make the first FT (full team) Warthog, the one and only which can have 8 people pack on top of each other! I love that more difficult work is being described now, outside...

yah, but the collision model is where you're going to have problems. You'll just walk through the new terrain or above it following the ghost of the old level. Berkano's new collision editor may help though. It' gonna be tough.

I think the sky texture is a A8R8G8B8... I have gotten it to work using adobe photoshop, but can't get it to work with paintshop pro. Anyway, mess with the options, because the sky, threshold, and basis are all of the same type, and different from the normal. Play with the alpha bit.

I'm not sure that custom gametypes make this difference. I only play custom gametypes, and the nightvision and flashlight work fine. What I'm looking for is more why they are shut off, not under what circumstances. But anyway, thanks for the input.

I think that there are no nightvision or flashlights only in the multiplayer levels. Im not sure, i havent checked all of the levels. You're deffinitely wrong. Nightvision and flashlights are in all the levels, but sometimes they don't work. This thread is discussing why that is, whether it's the u...

If you move too much stuff around, you can be adding indicies without knowing it. Probably not, though. I have not had this problem with MS3D at all. You sure you're exporting it properly?

same way, but instead of writing a little thing for the evo ini, you can just write a basic proggy that does it. you could even use BASIC if you don't know much about programming, or write a batch file, or visual basic.... all easy to use if you don't know a lot about programming.

Sure, set up your ini file in evo to copy specific cache files to the appropriate directory, and copy all your modded maps to your xbHDD and there ya go. Can take a lot of space, but you can also do it with CD-Rs if or DVD-Rs.

They are in a ppf file, and you use a patching program to patch the .map file with the .ppf file and load the patched .map back onto your xbox, assuming you have one. Not in Gmax use HHHT (helpful halo hacking tool) that I believe you can find on this website to apply the ppf's to your map files. Go...

You can use nightvision/flashlights in BG and SW if you don't load ghosts into the level. Don't know why this is yet, though.

pretty much any modchip will work. The chip is pretty much for loading a different bios so you can run unsigned software on the xbox. I use an xbit because I was an idiot and paid too much. I suppose someday it may be nice to have the 2mb flash though. check out xbox-scene.com for more detailed info...

your xbox must be modded, but I'm sure you know this. Then you need an FTP agent to either transfer the cache00#.map file from the y drive on your xbox and then patch it and send it back, or transfer the ppf to your xbox and use HCEv07 (runs on your xbox) to patch the map there.
