When I and my family would go on walks at my grandad's ranch, we put sulfur powder on our legs to keep off chiggers.

i live in lousyana (i spelled it that way on purpose) and after katrina we were driving at night and there were so many mosquitos hitting our van it sounded like really bad rain

oh once that hgappened to my family on a vacation to ohio, I think we had to turn on the windshield whippers.

I play a lot of paint ball so I get chiggers like once a month. Put clear nail polish over the bumps and they will die in about a day!

As for the bugs, we have tons down here. I go down to florida a lot, you almost can't get away from them.
